Pros

Good work/life balance for the most part. If you're prepared to stick your neck out then you have got the opportunity to work on some interesting projects, but you really have to be a self starter.

Cons

Management is quite weak across the board. Tough decisions are usually avoided where ever possible. Political correctness and mind games are rife and an the bank shows a complete inability to sack useless people really who drain the energy and morale of all around them.

Pros

UBS has provided me with great opportunity to be successful. My contributions have been consistently rewarded and the company is committed to improving its technology to be a market leader. I enjoy working in an environment where the commitment to business strategy is shared by so many. Also, I am proud of the work we are doing and believe in the firm's strategy.

Cons

Any time you work in an organization as large as this one, there is heavy politics that get in the way of doing the right thing for the business. It can be tiresome to fight through that. Also, things take more time than they do in smaller companies because of all the red tape.
