Pros

There are some good people there that haven't left yet

Cons

Does not promote from within, prefers to hire outside of the company. There is no clear path for promotions, and they are not talked about. You get pigeon-holed and forgotten about. Applying internally for other positions is a waste of time as you won't get a response of any type. HR is doesn't seem to exist. Communication is horrible. Management only doles out the minimal amount of information as it is needed. Lots of backstabbing, so always need to CYA. Teams do not work cohesively. Management gives entire teams bad ratings, contrary to what was being said all year. They give a generous 1 to 2% raise if you do get a good review. Employees are not treated as assets, but more like contractors where they will get rid of you on a whim. Saw several people with 20+ years of experience and knowledge suddenly let go without warning. My recommendation would be to never apply here, ever.

Pros

You will not find any Pros here

Cons

1. No holidays or rather if you want to have a legal holiday mandated by law, you need to have it approved and it will have certain conditions wherein they can revoke your right for a holiday. 2. VERY DISORGANISED process and they do not communicate to streamline it. 3. Leaders treat their staff as robots and machine. They think you owe them if they let you have an off day. Also, the leaders don’t know the process they handle but they will really abuse their power and act almighty. 3. Compensation heavily relies on your manager’s approval. So expect there will be months where your salary is unbelievably low. Their payroll process is completely prone to human error. 4. Their diversity and inclusion advocacy is a SCAM. They don’t value diversity inside. Your mental health does not matter, your health does not matter. Once you sign the contract they “own” you. 5. Power tripping is disgustingly profound especially in the contingent resource department.

Pros

1) Facilities like free cab, excellent gym. 2) Team engagement activities. 3) Vast opportunities if you wish to explore new cutting edge technologies. Wells has a T-hub (technology hub) dedicated for this. 4) Majority of the US counter parts are good and supportive. 5) Shifts available to choose. But again if you fall under responsible persons category like team lead and above, then even if you work in the morning shift 8.30 to 5.30, you need to login back after reaching home to attend the daily status calls. 6) Good compared to Service based companies. 7) seminars similar to Ted X are conducted at Wells level. 8) Hackathons are conducted and team members are heavily encouraged to particilate. 9) Wells has a Runners and Riders club which sponsor few employees to participate in the city marathons. Even they have their own 10K walk once in a year.

Cons

1) Over past few years, middle and higher level managers have changed and the new managers are implementing cost cutting methods. As a result, employees lost many privilages like hikes limited to once in a year, hike percentage reduced, few of the recognition awards are removed, you have to choose either between parking or free cab. 2) Also, each team member is expected to show money saved at their level in one form or the other. This effects performance rating and hike percentage. 3) Even though we have lot of Pros here, when your manager suffocates you to show some money saved, I don't think we can showcase our full capability or enjoy the pros. 4) Frequent organisation level changes are happening. Again, this is a result of the management changes happened over last 2 years. 5) Work from home facility is limited to 5 days now. And you shouldn't take laptop to outside city. 6) Management is very strict with LOP. They try all their rules to not approve the loss of pay. HR is supportive to management. I have seen many female employees who had to return from ML after getting their LOP rejected. 7) Job security has lessened.
