Pros

- Hybrid approach is great for work life balance - Cross-funtional collaboration has significantly improved over the last few years but still needs improvement - Lower management supports growth very effectively and takes an interest in employees - Wonderful PTO and benefits - Tuition assistance - Great opportunities for diversity and inclusion groups within the company - Salary is competitive - Robust career opportunities and growth as long as you advocate for yourself

Cons

- Senior leaders are not relatable and don't effectively engage employees, they seem annoyed on large meetings (i.e. town halls) - Certain senior leaders don't want to take feedback on improving processes but say they're open to it - Employees who belittle others and react unprofessionally especially on meetings are not coached or told to stand down

Pros

They try to bring in the latest technologies and conduct learning cohorts. This provides a good learning path and challenges the engineers to utilize these technologies. Note: This might be applicable to few projects. Some of the projects use very old tech stack. The time off policy is generous.

Cons

Management does not distribute the work wisely. They are always in a rush to deliver new changes even if no one uses the application. Every small issue is treated as a critical bug and they want it to be fixed immediately, even if it is after office hours or on a weekend. These scenarios are for an application which hasn't even gone live. Management doesn't care about the employee and do not support in any situation. Note: When I say Management, I am not referring to the Chief Officers of the company. I am referring to the Leads, Managers and Senior Managers that engineers report to. These managers want to showcase that they have delivered products in lesser time and budget and so they end up pressurizing the engineers.

Pros

The benefits are competitive and they give a 6% 401k match

Cons

-Senior Leadership simply does not care about your input despite them sending out surveys asking for it. Charlie tried to convince us the employee yearly survey was positive yet it showed that everyone is upset with senior leaders -Jobs are being outsourced en masse -The culture has taken a nose dive ever since Charlie took over -They hired a lot of people in my department on a "full remote" basis, yet are now enforcing office work -Ever since I joined my role several years ago, they've demoted my title several times and are lowering the midpoint to make raises smaller -Leaders are often good idea fairies and their bad decisions make the job dreadful -The work is monotonous with little to no projects and there isn't much self-development
