So Woke it's Broke

Pros

Stable company, great manager, mature processes

Cons

Working here is like going to work at the DNC. The focus on Liberal Left Woke policies dominate the work landscape. They also still try to force vax employees despite the tidal wave of data showing it's dangerous.

50-50 company

Pros

- An established brand with over a170- year history - good global programs for career growth and development - supportive manager - salary is good

Cons

- too many changes in the organization, and it happens way too often - too many layoffs, especially for contractors; even top executives are getting laid off - you can never be sure that your role is safe. There is a constant fear that you can be let go - age of the company shows based on the leaders they hire (boomer-led company) - lack of innovation has led the company to play catch-up with its competitors - not much flexibility to work-from-home

We appreciate you sharing your detailed review. We love that you feel supported in your career growth, have a supportive manager, and have a good salary! Providing each of these is vital to our culture and ability to drive business forward for our customers. Change is required to help us execute our Evolve 2025 strategy. We know these changes can be difficult and bring impacts in various ways. We believe they will set us up for continued success as a global financial services leader. We appreciate your compassion value idea, and we encourage you to share this great idea through our quarterly Western Union Listens survey. We wish you continued success as a Senior Specialist at Western Union.

Pros

-Very diverse global organization -Flexibility

Cons

It is very sad to say there are far far more cons than pros since the new CEO has started -Seriously understaffed based on everyone quitting -Can’t get work done because every group is short staffed but management expectations don’t change, feels that there is no empathy for employees surrounding workload -Many groups are working weekends -Compensation: bonuses and raises are frozen -Layoffs -Extremely cut-throat and egotistic environment -A culture of bullying, seems that casual racism is tolerated even at senior management levels -Numerous female leaders leaving -Executives used to be very diverse but have since been replaced by all white male executives with the exception of 3-4 leaders -Micro-management -No upward mobility with nearly 490 job postings but no opportunities in Denver, only at regional level which are out of the country
