Pros

Currently there are none. Each benefit and what used to make this company one of the best have been slowly decaying under new leadership.

Cons

Benefits have been eliminated. The culture has become horrible just as upper leadership. Salaries are below average. No way to have work/life balance, you are expected to always be on call and answer texts immediately or else anything happening is your fault regardless and even with this urgent expectation the vacant roles are not being filled so you are expected to perform a 5-people job 24/7 with no additional pay or recognition. There are layoffs every other month and we are all wishing to be laid off to get away of this horrible employer, the CEO and the culture he created.

Pros

the only good thing about working at Western Union (and that only if you have a high grade job) is the salary.

Cons

An executive team that has absolutely no regard for employee wellbeing, focuses entirely on cost savings, driving absurd productivity levels in their staff, pretending to care about employee feedback, communicating vaguely and untransparently. Promising benefits and later on revoking them (such as remote work, employee office benefits, work from abroad etc.). Terminating entire functions/departments overnight with no notice and expecting others to absorb work. Contacting after working hours (US mindset to always be available). It's so toxic that most people still working there spend majority of their day looking for new/other jobs and gossiping with each other about how bad it is to work there. Best of all is the prospect of a bonus which is entirely dependent on revenue and stock price and constantly changing terms of employee bonus payout with the goal to save on costs. Career opportunities minimal to none once you are in a mid-position. The only thing keeping you tied to the employer is an adequate salary.
