Worst job I've had so far.
Pros
Work from home. Nothing else.
Cons
Training was not very bad, but it actually does not prepare you for actual job. When you finish your training, the support is actually terrible. There are so many unknown information, and you do not feel like you are in a safe space to ask for questions. Management is bad, you are treated as a number. The feeling is very bad constantly. You are also monitored for every move. Every mistake is pointed out. You get regular. reports on how long your break were, and if you were 1 minute longer on your lunch. However, when you get a call 2 minutes before your shift ends and need to stay 20 minute on UNPAID OVERTIME, nobody mentions that- ever. The workload is big, the customers are demanding (often very pissed and yelling at you). You are collecting all that energy and working like maniac for a most ridiculous payment. The system that is used is old, slow and there are so many unnecessary steps. Your calls are being listened every day, and they give you notes on how you have been quiet for 30 seconds, but it takes for the system to open one single tab 50 seconds. It is just very frustrating. And sad at the end. There is no sense of community, humanity or anything nice- and I really mean it. I am currently looking for another job, and can't wait to quit. The only thing important to Capita is the results, targets and money. They are aware people are constantly leaving and are okay with it. Then they just repeat their old pattern all over again until people are fed up.
