Toxic Senior Management - Do Not Join LBG

Pros

Prior to a month ago I'd say great culture with lots of opportunities.

Cons

Company has announced in the last week that they will be removing remote working and enforcing a 2 day a week office mandate. However it is expected this will slide to more days as no consultation with staff or unions were done. They have also announced by stealth plans to remove all flexible hourly working. So no compressed hours even if you have been doing that for 20+years. Do not join LBG with current leadership team as their are morally bankrupt. Over 4000 staff complaints of above policy changes and not a single reply for leadership team. They just don't care, crashed their company culture for greed despite 46% jump in profits.

Not the company it used to be

Pros

Given all the latest changes, I feel there isn't anything positive other than, your paid on time.

Cons

Flexibility has gone out of the window. LBG has pulled the ability to work compressed hours after your child turns 2, I have been acting up to a higher grade for around 4 years. At the beginning it was done with the agreement that the higher grade role would be advertised, this never happened. With various line manager changes my role is the expectation of me. The Group Executive Committee don't listen to the workforce. They say they do but they don't. The old GEC under Antonio was much better and cared for its work force. Being 35 years old I am hoping that within the next 12-18 months I am faced with redundancy. Being the age I am and given that I have worked for Lloyds for 15 years, this shouldn't be the case. The sentiment is shared with a few of my colleagues.

Pros

Good pay, and benefits. Hours/shifts are fine couple of earliest and latest.

Cons

Working from home was the reason I took this job, I have two disabled children who don't need 24hr care or attension but working from home is a real benefit, but lloyds management love to threaten the staff daily working from home that they can and will be called in the office at anytime for no reason, I transfered a call in June 2023 and it was brought to my attention that I should not have given the customer the phone number and not transfered them, (80 year old) who has been past from pillor to post by lazy staff who can't be bothered to deals with them, so I was told I need to return to the office the very next day, they didn't even have the decency to ring and say just to let you know you made a small mistake so can you sort child care out and come in the office next week for your shifts and training, i was having calls transfered to me daily yet I transfer once and am told "Your back in tomorrow" lloyds where aware of my children disabilities when I took the job yet they have mad the situation worse.
