Pros

Bupa private healthcare Work from home

Cons

Micro management, toxic management , pressure to sell, customer not at the heart of decision making. The pressure to sell to customers is terrible. We are being ‘coached’ by management to encourage customers to lend more money when all they want is to change their mortgage rate. Adding money onto your mortgage should never be encouraged but apparently that’s ok now. Also management telling us to quote everyone for life and body cover and home insurance to pull figures up even if the customer doesn’t need it. Management telling us not to finish a mortgage application and to pause halfway to sell insurance and then go back to the mortgage so the customer stays on the line!!! Terrible management who have no experience of the job trying to justify that they have uplifted sales figures. Yes, you may have done but it wasn’t the right thing for the customer. Miss-selling at Lloyds will be around the corner again. Management focused only on numbers and not actual needs of customers. Charlie you should be ashamed as to what you have done. The bank has made record profits. Why are we treating customers in this way?

Pros

- Free Private Healthcare (BUPA) - Bike to Work Shceme - Colleague Account Benefits

Cons

Starting 15 minutes early and finishing 30 minutes late every shift, with no overtime or lieu put in place. This is expected of you and happens daily. Annual Leave is planned 12 months in advance, meaning you will have to book a full years leave the September prior. Very frustrating if you are married or have kids, as holiday prices increase during certain times of year. Daily lunches start as early as 10:30am, the latest being 3:00pm. This means you will go a whole afternoon or morning without any comfort break. This made it very difficult to meet family or friends for lunch. Constant staff shortages, meaning you work as hard as two or three members of staff. Head Office not acting on this, leaving staff exhausted and customers unhappy. During the busiest months, staff are asked to cancel or change annual leave due to the shortages. Made to feel guilty with sickness or annual leave. Management ringing you three times a day, asking when you'll return to work. This has made staff frightened to take leave, even if it is due to sickness.

Pros

Started my career here and have learned so much, majority of people you work with day to day are fantastic. People seem to want to genuinely work together and make a positive difference, despite there being blockers at every corner.

Cons

It has changed drastically in the past 1-2 years, when I first started I had trust in management and the vision that the company had, That trust has completely gone now. The way they have treated people recently with huge organisational changes and redundancies is disgraceful and the attitudes of senior leaders is cold and soulless. Morale amongst colleagues is at an all time low, almost everyone I work with is considering external opportunities if they haven’t recently been made redundant. People who are being made redundant have had months of uncertainty around the terms of their notice and redundancy package which is disgusting. The never ending red tape day to day also has shown no signs of improvement in the 8 years I’ve been here.
