Pros

Met a few decent people, and learned what I don't want in a company.

Cons

Flexibility doesn't exist Leadership will strip away any self confidence you have Base Salary & Commission Structure is low & confusing No CRM system to track how you get paid "HR Team" also doesn't exist Unprofessional environment - loud music, must be at your desk at all times, literally tally how many times you go to the bathroom, everyone puts everyone down and is in a click Platform has constant system errors, and most clients don't even use the platform In order to hit your "quota" will you illegally log into clients accounts and click around to hit engagement bonus Forced to auto renew clients if they might the slightest hint they aren't renewing High turnover rate because everyone hates working there Worst time of my life, regret working here

Ridiculous amount of micro-managing.

Pros

- Fun colleagues. - Open office. - Dynamic environment.

Cons

The micro-managing is the worst part about this office. - Strict 1hr lunch break from 1230-130. - Strict time to make calls. If you talk, you get scolded. - Blocked out dates from travelling. Cannot travel for more than 1 week +. - Not 'allowed' to say certain things in the office even without the presence of clients because management does not like 'negativity', even if it's talking about the broken product that we're selling. Monthly sales targets. Very high pressure. People are praised for doing well, no encouragement to those who are not. Lies. Lies to clients about the product. Lies to employees. Don't expect to be treated like an adult. They will say it's because of the number of fresh grads here, but you have more freedom in school because at least there you are penalised for your grades and not your behavior. The lack of respect is unacceptable. It's just a popularity contest. Forced 'culture'. People are judged based on how much they engage in 'cultural' activities. Hitting your KPIs are one thing, but showing people that you're hitting your KPIs or trying to do so is more important. You won't get far if you're not a suck up or constantly telling people about your accomplishments. Very superficial workplace and management. They say they care about feedback, but they don't. They 'listen', give you a generic response and nothing changes. Just look at the reviews here and the responses.

Pros

I graduated during the recession and they gave me a job to put on my resume and a paycheck while I sought out a job in my industry

Cons

Where do I start? 1). Upper management is a joke since the company promotes on the "Peter Principle" of promoting employees based on sales records than on their ability to actually manage people or a team. 2). HR department was just getting organized when I left, but when I was there, it was a distaster. Huge HR issue over the "annual" company kickoff wasn't handled at all and solidified my decision to leave the company. ( 3). If you work here, prepare for your co-workers to be your "best friends!" There is literally a cult-like atmosphere where you are expected to hang out with co-workers in all of your spare time. If you don't, you don't fit in with the company culture and are going against the "company values." 4). Tons of high school-like office gossip. 5). No work/life balance- if you left the office on-time or a littler after the regular 5/5:30 time, you were stared down. 6). They'll tell you in their "intense" interview process that the "Meltwater Group Scam" that pops up when you google them is not true at all and it's one disgruntled employee, but don't believe a word of it. The blog was written when the company had first come to the US and as far as I can tell, nothing has improved with the company since. 7). If you read this review and you're still considering working here, ask someone at Meltwater what the turnover rate is like- you're not only competing with other companies, you compete within your own team and office because there aren't enough qualified leads in the pipeline. 8). They've been saying for two years they're "about to go public" but it hasn't happened yet. But hey, if all of those things sound fun to you and you like cults, then Meltwater is the place for you.
