Pros

- Every other Friday off - Flex time allows work/life balance - Good salary - Interesting work - Great place to work if you are ambitious (Dont expect to be spoon fed work) - My next 2 levels of management are great, pleasant and engaged

Cons

- Lots of nay-sayers who are jaded and are content on cruise control - Poor review structure, "Everyone gets a 3" (scale of 1-5) - Raises are a joke (2% - 3%) - No bonuses, 401k match is just ok (3 year vesting) - Benefits continue to be reduced (recent change to vacation structure reduces PTO accrual)

Northrop Grumman Response

Hi Engineer II, thanks very much for taking a moment to leave a review. We really appreciate hearing from current employees. We're glad to see you're taking advantage of flex time, work-life balance initiatives, and more. As you say, it's all about ambition when it comes to advancing in your career. With performance ratings, we understand how it can be frustrating to not be rated as highly as you feel you deserve to be. Many of our employees perform at a high level and recognizing the truly outstanding performers is something that managers are trained to do. The system may not be perfect, but we're working on making it better and your input is essential. Here's a tip: when you work with your manager to set your goals for the year, let them know that you're looking to be a top performer and ask how you can better word your goals to that they are aligned to your team and the company's objectives. There are resources on our intranet that will help to develop these types of goals. Ask your manager how you can go above and beyond this next year (without working longer hours, of course!), to be recognized as a top performer. Your manager will be glad to help you work toward that goal, and showing your interest will go a long way.

Pros

980 Schedule, meaningful core mission to support the warfighters

Cons

CYA attitude is present vs. doing the right thing. Disengaged management more concerned with their ratings than developing or listening to their employees.
